FFF and Lamborghini commit to Total 24 Hours of Spa as part of Intercontinental GT Challenge title bid

Orange1 FFF Racing Team by ACM will launch its second bid for victory at the Total 24 Hours of Spa this year after being confirmed as Lamborghini's full-season Intercontinental GT Challenge Powered by Pirelli representative.

Leading factory drivers Andrea Caldarelli, Marco Mapelli and Dennis Lind will share an FFF-run Huracan GT3 Evo, spearheading the Italian manufacturers' first assault on the globe-trotting championship. Caldarelli and Mapelli clinched an unprecedented hat-trick of titles in last year's Blancpain GT Series, while Danish ace Lind was instrumental to their successful Endurance Cup campaign.

This capped an incredible first season of European competition for the Chinese squad, which had previously earned considerable silverware in Asia. What's more, the team ended 2019 by running the Japanese entry that clinched GT Cup gold at the inaugural FIA Motorsport Games.

Despite Lamborghini's recent run of success in Europe and beyond, the brand is yet to secure overall honours at the Total 24 Hours of Spa. The FFF crew took eighth place at last year's event, equalling the best finish for a Lamborghini at the twice-around-the-clock contest.

The annual trip to the Belgian Ardennes falls second on the IGTC calendar, with the season kicking off at next month's Liqui Moly Bathurst 12 Hour (31 January-2 February).  Lamborghini joins Audi, Honda and reigning champion Porsche on the list of manufacturers confirmed for 2020, with more expected to follow ahead of the trip Down Under.

FFF is the second Lamborghini squad to officially commit to this year's Total 24 Hours of Spa. Emil Frey Racing has announced a two-car programme for GT World Challenge Europe (formerly the Blancpain GT Series) which will see the Swiss outfit return to the Ardennes following a one-year absence.
